Winter has been a lingerer this year, to be sure, but we’re finally starting to see hints of summer. If you’ve been putting off planning for your warm summer days, it’s time to dive in. Longmont and the surround area is hopping with events this summer to keep you and your family busy even after school is out. Live music gets crowds on their feet. You may hear the outdoors calling; Colorado state parks are some of the most beautiful in the country! If you’re not feeling in top-top shape, there are local fitness spots to help you get there. We’re even providing an extended calendar of events and spotlights to help you plan out your calendar.

Autumn is upon us again. Luckily, Longmont does not disappoint when it comes to fall activities. From family-friendly outings to more adult evening time activities, Longmont has a little bit of everything to keep us entertained. We can celebrate all things fall with beer, music, outdoor adventures, and a few indoor fundraisers to aid the community.

Here in Longmont, you can’t throw a rock without hitting a great restaurant, brewery, or bar. In this edition, we dish on foodie fare from the classic to the complicated. Think great burgers to Pacific Island infused menus. If you’re into it, you can probably find it around here. Speaking of summer, our favorite events are back! Finally, after entertaining ourselves for two years, we can just show up and let other people do the work. That really makes this summer something to look forward to.

We love our animals and Longmont proves it! We had so many entries for Longmont’s Cutest Dog Contest, I don’t know how you all managed to choose a winner, but you did it. Veterinarians run the gamut from your friendly neighborhood vet to specialized services, all to keep your animals living their best lives. We picked their brains on subjects ranging from the best food options to anxiety issues. Since summer is here, we – along with our pets – are enjoying more time outdoors, which means we need to be extra vigilant for those little insects that can pack a punch: ticks. Speaking of summer, we continue to see a return of our favorite events, and we have a few to keep in mind while planning your weekends and more.
